Home-made Lemon Cordial

Years ago we had neighbours who were English.  They  told me that if you had to buy a lemon in Australia you had no friends. So l went to our local nursery the next day and bought two lemon trees and a lime tree.

This is the perfect drink on a summers day.

You need

• 1kg sugar
• Grated rind and juice of 6 lemons
• 1 tab Epsom salts
• 2 tabs citric acid
• 6 cups boiling water

And all you do is …..

Mix all the ingredients together, add the boiling water. Pour into bottles, strain the juice as you pour it into the bottles.
