It goes like this…..
- Gather up 5 gifts. You might like to choose a theme, here are some ideas
Sewing: Might include a small pattern, some thread, some fabrics, a tracing pen or some embroidery needs if it’s a stitchery
A sweet tooth: could include lollies, chocolate, biscuits etc
Happy hour package: a small bottle of bubbles, some chocolate, a packet of dry biscuits ect, a magazie
Now it’s time to wrap…..
Wrap each gift separately. Putting a little effort into the wrapping always makes your gift look special. Might like to add a card to be given out with the last gift.
Choose your gifts and wrap prior to camp
On Friday night l will ask all those who want to take part in Dear Jane to meet in the dining room. We will put everyone’s names into a hat, then take turns to draw a name out of the hat.(This is a secret, you don’t tell anyone who you get in the draw.)
We then move around the circle, everyone introduces themselves to the others. You need to pay attention so that you know who your lady is. . You will have your slip of paper with your Dear Jane’s name on it, now you will able to put the name with the face.
Over the course of the weekend it’s your job to sneak your gifts to your Dear Jane. You need to have the ‘drop’ completed by breakfast, Sunday.
After breakfast on Sunday the Dear Jane’s will gather in the dining room and you will discover who gave you your gifts.
Its a bit of fun, you only take part if you choose to.
It’s not meant to break the bank, you may well have things in your stash that you can use.
