The spools face 2 ways, up and down to across, hence the 2 pics, make each pic twice.
- A: 5 x 2 3/8″ squares, crosscut to make 10 triangles
- D: 4 x 2″ squares
- B: 3 x 2 3/8″ squares, cross cut to get 6 triangles
- C: 1 x 3 7/8″ square, cross cut to get 2 triangles
Making the Block, refer to the pic
You are creating 4 big squares
Sew A and B triangles together to make 6 squares
Sew 2 A triangles to A/ B square, this creates a bigger triangle
Sew A/B A/ A triangle to the large C triangle, this makes a square.
Sew A/B triangle to D square to create a rectangle
Sew the 2 rectangles together, one above the other
Repeat Square 2
Repeat square one
Join squares 1 and 2 together
Join squares 3 and 4 together
Join these to create the square.
Refer to the pic, it will make more sense.
