I was a Primary School teacher for a little over 20 years. One day on the way to a game of football, a friend suggested l open a patchwork shop. I’d always thought l’d love to work for myself. Didn’t watch much of the game that day, but by the time we got home l put my ideas to Ray. That night we decided to open Mrs Martin’s Quilt Shop.
We opened on March 21st, 2004. After 7 1/ 2 years we relocated Mrs Martin’s to our home.
There’s always something going on
We have a number of Sewing Circles, throughout the week. If you are interested in joining us shoot me off an email.
Saturday Sewing Circles
Why not gather a group of friends together and join us for a Saturday Sewing Circle?
Stitching starts at 10.00am and finishes at 3.00pm. You’ll be provided with a yummy home cooked morning and afternoon tea and lunch as well as a never ending cuppa. Receive a 10% discount on fabric and patterns purchased on the day. One lucky guest will receive a $15.00 voucher.
The cost for the day is $40.00, we need a minimum of 8 friends.
Or you may prefer to self cater your Saturday Sewing Circle. Your group brings the food, l will heat and serve for you. Cost if you choose to self cater is $25.00 per person. You'll receive the 10% discount on fabric and patterns purchased on the day and there will still be a $15.00 voucher up for grabs. We require a minimum of eight friends.
We organise the Monbulk Quilt Show in March each year. All the money we raise from the show is donated to the Monbulk CFA.
